All your RailsConf are belong to me

Following the lead of Daniel and Lee, and outright stealing the concept and content of Lee’s blog post (he tagged me so it’s sort of ok,) I’ve decided to finally take 10 minutes to create a conference plan for RailsConf 2007.

This year was a damn sight easier to choose which talks to attend, despite the horrendous fact that there seem to be up to 5 talks running parallel to each other in some cases. The reason for said ease in choosing is due to the fact that, well, most of the talks just don’t look incredibly interesting to me (read: waste of money!)

Last year all of the good talks were occurring simultaneously, and all of the terrible ones were everywhere else. Luckily this year there seems to be only a few instances where really excellent talks are happening during the same block of time, and there is a consistent trend of at least one really interesting talk in every single time slot.

I’m really excited to get to RailsConf this year, and I’m really looking forward to some of the talks and keynotes. I’m arriving early in the morning on the 16th and leaving the evening of the 21st so I’ll have a bit of extra time in portland to relax and have a few too many beers.

Following suit it’s now my privileged obligation to tag Fernand, Pj, Jeff and Kyle. Let’s see those conference plans fellas!

    Hey Nick!

Really looking forward to RailsConf here, too! And I have to say, I agree that it is easy to pick the talks. Some of the subjects are just great for us n00bs. :-)
